ÖloFWound Series elements are used in the filtration of liquids and gases containing small particulates or limited soft contaminants. These elements are used in a broad range of industrial, chemical and process industries.
Made from string which is continually wound in a spiral pattern on a rigid center core, wound elements are made from natural or synthetic fibers with a nominal rating of 1-250 microns, in a temperature range of up to 700°F maximum and a collapse pressure of 75-110 PSID.
Ölof wound elements are constructed with 100% pure materials, with no binders or adhesives, making them ideally suited for oil and gas, chemicals, food processes, pharmaceutical and FDA.
Features

- Variety of quality filter media for a wide range of chemical compatibility.
- Any length from 3" thru 40".
- Elements (1) micron thru (200) micron.
Materials and applications
- Standard Polypropylene: Best all around media for most applications including water, alkaline, most acids and chemicals. Maximum temperature 200°F.
- Bleached Cotton: Bleached to meet FDA requirements for potable liquids, vegetable oils, beverages, organic solvents, dilute acids, petroleum oils, etc. Maximum temperature 280°F.
- Polypropylene Core: The choice for most applications in water and corrosives. FDA approved material. Maximum temperature 200°F.
- Fiberglass String: Available in both standard and baked media. Baking removes all traces of oil sizing, yielding virgin glass fiber. For use to 750º F.
- Nylon String: Special process applications, concentrated alkalies, and hydrocarbons. Up to 300ºF.
- Rayon String: Fluid compatibility similar to bleached cotton, but with more coarse fiber and less absorbency than cotton. Swells in aqueous solutions. Up to 300º F.
- Filter media is also available in TEFLON®
- Center Cores in Polypropylene, Stainless Steel, Tin Steel, Phenolic Resin.
