In the food and beverage industry, clarification is mainly the process of elimination of suspended particles in fluids to minimize haze or cloudiness.
In example in beer brewing in this process we would be eliminating yeast cells or protein solids, and in winemaking this can be also yeast cells, bacteria or even pieces of grape skin, pulp, stems and gums.
Most clarification and pre-filtering process will be done with Depth Filters.
